In addition to the branding work I did for Happiness is Dog Shaped, I had the pleasure of putting together a beautiful hardcover coffee table book packed with cute doggos and puppers and their stories of happiness from their owners.
I was able to select the cover image from the contributors images and created a custom illustration to work in with the photo dogs – creating something beautiful (due to that sunset, den colours, damn) and interesting, which is ALWAYS the goal.
The client and I worked together closely on this project, which given strict time constraints and content provided by 109 contributors, could easily have gone off the rails and off budget, but we both kept it very organised and nailed that deadline – pushing every second for a high quality outcome.
In the final hours, I suggested we do flip book corners of the brand’s dog mascots being cute and the client loved the idea, so I quickly created, tested and added that in minutes before deadline – my kind of thrills, ha.
I also snuck myself into the book along with the family dog … hehe, why wouldn’t I, he’s a cool dog.
