For their birthday, I made my favourite friend a logo shirt for a company they always talk about starting. It’s namesake is one of their oldest possessions, Bunnikins: a little Steiff rabbit they were given at birth.
I intended to make a simplified drawing of bunnikins – that was still very much identifiable as the original – and turn it into a logo to go on a shirt; a logo shirt for their future company. The whole thing was a surprise, so involved lots of covert research into Steiff toys of the right age to figure out all the little details – as I only actually had one photo of this bunny, but it was all worth it. I was so happy with how this turned out. They wear the shirt all the time, which makes me so happy.
I get a bit excited about making surprise gifts for my friends.
